Nurse Practitioner New

NaphCare is partnering with Everhealth to hire a PRN Nurse Practitioner just like you to join our team at the Pierce County Jail located in Tacoma, WA. Weekends preferred.

Pay rates range from $68.50 to $72.00 per hour based on employment status, shift, specific facility, site needs, licensure, and experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilitie s for Nurse Practitioner:

• Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the physiological, psychological and emotional needs of the patients
• Obtain history and perform a physical examination to determine patient health status
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans
• Identify patient health conditions and prescribe treatment based on diagnosis
• Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
• Admit and discharge patients from all units in the facility
• Conduct rounds
• Schedule and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
  
  

Qualifications

Qualificat ions for Nurse P ractitioner:

• Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in WA
• Current DEA registration
• An appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician
• A valid CPR card
• Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
• Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills
• Have strong computer skills
